I grew up in Kitale on Kaliwa farm as the second last born in a family of ten children in the Wandabwa household. I have fond memories of the consistent bustle around the house especially during the school holidays when everyone was home from boarding school. I witnessed many farm projects over the years and occasionally jumped barbed wire fences for a front seat. After completion of Primary and Secondary school at Kitale Academy and Limuru Girls respectively, I left for the United States in 1998 where I pursued my college degree in Nursing and fulfilled my passion for helping others. For 16 years I practiced as a Critical Care Nurse in various hospitals within the United States.

In 2019, I started a new chapter and moved to Melbourne Australia. I transitioned into quality and risk management and consulting for small to medium health care organizations. This trajectory allows me to continue my passion for healthcare by empowering community health care providers to excel in service delivery.

Beyond my professional life, I find joy in various hobbies. Cooking is not just a passion but a form of creative expression for me. I love experimenting in the kitchen, crafting new recipes, and sharing delicious meals with family and friends. When I'm not in the kitchen, I'm often exploring new destinations when I can, and immersing myself in different cultures through travel and food.  These experiences enrich my understanding of the world and inspire me to create diverse and inclusive learning environments for myself and people around me.

My Mother, Margaret Wandabwa believes that every child deserves access to education, regardless of their background or circumstances and we couldn’t agree more.  It is our goal to fulfill that which Belinda started in her journey to keep our mother’s dream through this foundation. My experiences have instilled in me a deep sense of compassion, a commitment to excellence, and a relentless pursuit of innovation.
